Welcome to Maine with old friends

On June 11th we arrived in Maine and were welcomed to Harpswell on Orr’s Island by our old friends Dan and Ellen Hoebeke. What a delight! Dan and Ellen attended San Jose CRC for several years before retiring and moving to Dan’s Aunt Billie’s home in Maine. They had spent family vacations in the home for many years and then Dan inherited it from his aunt.

Their home is on the waterfront and the views are spectacular. It’s easy to see why Dan and Ellen love it.

On the road there, this cow was at a gas station. Randy texted a picture to the kids and said, "They must have known Mom was coming."

The interior has big windows for maximum enjoyment of those views.

Dan and Ellen took us to the local place they get their lobsters. Fresh lobster caught the same day or day before definitely is more delicious than what you get at the store. There’s a sweetness to them, and a tenderness.
